The best entrance into the Arten Festival is a guided tour of the farm – especially on a first visit to Hof Narr. Visitors get to know the animals as individuals with their own personalities and stories. Many touch a so-called «fattening pig», «laying hen» or «dairy goat» for the first time. The people working and living at Hof Narr share what research and their own experience reveal about the animals. It's about ethics, ecological agriculture and the strength and resilience of rescued animals.
Hof Narr is an animal sanctuary in Hinteregg. More than 120 rescued animals have found a home here. The farm also advises farmers on leaving animal agriculture behind and runs its own organic vegetable production.
